Nia's Creative Portfolio

As a filmmaker with a passionate focus in screenwriting, my work is a pure reflection of making it through harsh circumstances and coming out of it on top. Most spec scripts I’ve written in the last few years range from Dramas to Romantic Comedies. I enjoy creating character-driven narratives from all backgrounds and putting my characters through situations where they must overcome their flaws and obstacles to be the most prominent versions of themselves that I know they can be. I’ve dipped my hand in the Art Department of film over the last 3 years, serving as a Production Designer for numerous MFA students' short thesis films, commercials and short film productions. Winning my very first award in 2024 for Best Production Design on an MFA short film at Columbia College Chicago. Pushing boundaries and telling stories that feel important to my very own, says a lot about my work and who I am as a creative. I am a storyteller who isn’t afraid to speak their minds and their truths.
